Do you think he's doing his job? He could have admitted to the affair months ago and gotten the inevitable over with. Better yet, he could have told the truth in the Jones deposition so he wouldn't have to worry about perjury. And he could have let people testify to whatever was true before the grand jury without getting involved in trying to influence their testimony. If he had acted with any judgment in the first place he would never have screwed around with Monica. There are many things going on around the world and he's on vacation, having taken no discernible action. I don't go on vacation if I have pressing matters to handle. Monday's speech was telling. It was no true apology or mea culpa. Put another way, I sure didn't feel his pain! mph
