Re: "I said that the technology which serves as the core of the Merced isn't owned by Intel. This conclusion is based not on conjecture, but on reports and links I've already provided from C-Net and other sources. An excerpt:

Exponential filed for its various patents first,
however, giving those plans status as "prior art" over
the Merced patents. With this designation, the
Exponential patents can theoretically supersede
Intel's patents..."

Ian, Intel removed the bipolar steps from their fab process years ago, but there are more important points. For you to take these statements and project them to justify your claims that others hold patents which supersede Intels go far beyond conjecture and enter the relm of wishful speculation or pure fantasy. Yes I know it's not you speaking these quotes, but it's you quoting these sources to justify your outlandish claims. References to idle speculation do not a fact make. No one has ever claimed, much less established, that the technology which serves as the core for Merced is owned by anyone else, yet you claim this as though it were fact. You are begging the title of lunatic. Do yourself a favor and do your homework before you make any more stupid statements.
