William Good reviews, although not negative, does not directly translate to sales. Competition has been here all along.

Competition is good for the best, most powerful companies in an industry. CPQ is the low cost producer. The competitive enviroment will eliminate many of the cash poor companies. We will see a consolidation. The strongest will prevail, and there will be less competitors chasing bigger markets. CPQ's critical mass in several businesses is very impressive. CPQ will likely double their market share within 3-5 years.
Acer builds quality products but has not increased its market share in the last three years. Toshiba will most likely be successful. However, Acer and Toshiba will not be a factor in the server market in the foreseeable future. CPQ, IBM, HWP, and DEC will continue to dominate, along with DELL. LF
