I think most people would favor a simplification regardless of the specifics. We need a system that everybody could trust. Right now, lower paids think higher paids don't pay taxes. Higher paids think they are taxed too much.

A flat tax or sales tax in place of the current system would reduce much of the class warfare we see with the existing system.
