I highly doubt anyone will be going to prison. These "busts" usually only net a hard hand slapping. Sometimes they will suspend or restrict securities trading, but more than one has returned with a different name to start again.

The monies are usually gone and they simply claim destitution. The govt is usually left with nothing to pass along to shareholders and creditors.

My guess is that there are a group of other penny stocks that have already been earmarked for take over by these same individuals. Reverse split, reverse merger, hire a pr firm, then start talking about new assets and projected revenues, fire up the press and sell that stock. Denver, Nevada Corporation, Vancouver or Boca Raton. These are the keywords for certain disaster.

If penny traders were smart, they would get the ability to short the pennies. [Farsight and others allow in US with minimum cash equity] It is far easier to spot a loser than a winner.
