I am just starting to look at vishay. When you mention they have several
noncommodity products I was wondering what they where. At first glance
it seemed like most of what this company sells are commodity type
items. Also I was not real clear on why the earning have suffered so much.
They dropped to .32 then .24 in Jun and Sep. I know they are in the
semi market and the semis have been off but this company is not making
semis per say. They make resistors, capacitors, etc. With computer
sales so strong and other electronics doing well why where the earnings
so poor? I assume they were down because the industries they sold to had
decreased their orders not some interanal problem with the company?

I haven't read the quarterly reports maybe I can find some of the answers
there but any help would be appreciated
Thanks Russ
