** Htmlscript Corp. Becomes Miva Corp. On 1 September 1998
Effective 1 September 1998, Htmlscript Corporation will change it's
name to Miva Corporation. We are changing our name to reflect that
we are now much more than HTML. Miva Corp. products are the leading
commercial solutions for the web hosting industry to provide XML
scripting, database, and commerce to tens of thousands of developers.
Additionally, our products are used to implement major sites such
as Software.Net and Netscape Software Depot.

** Miva Merchant Goes Into Beta!
Miva Merchant, our new world class store development and management
system has been released into beta. Developed in Miva Script, this
new product uses a module based approach so that developers and
third party vendors can implement snap-in feature enhancements.
We anticipate a rapid beta test with the production release
scheduled for 1 September 1998.
The feature set includes:

* Upsell based on basket contents scoring
* SSL integration for ordering and reporting
* Automatic shopping basket maintenance
* Unlimited look and feel control
* API based replaceable modules

* Multiple and unlimited sales tax setup
* Multiple and unlimited shipping methods
* Multiple ways to find products for editing
* Automatic online UPS shipping calculations
* Configurable currency layout
* Batch and archival management of orders
* Email notification of orders
* Advanced dynamic whitespace compression
* Quick installation and auto data file setup
* "Buy One Now" button can be added to any web page
* Database driven, modular architecture
* Mall administrator can setup multiple stores
* Automatic import of KoolCat data files
* Context sensitive online help

* Online Credit card authorization
* Cross Platform: Unix and Windows
* Fully Scriptable, XML compatible source code included.
Miva Merchant pricing is $495 per domain plus $100 per additional
store. The Annual Upgrade Plan is $249 per year plus $50 per year
for stores in the domain license. KoolCat licensees who have
purchased before 1 September 1998 will get a free domain license to
Miva Merchant. KoolCat Annual Upgrade Plan members who have purchased
before 1 September 1998 will get a free Annual Upgrade Plan.
All KoolCat licensees will automatically receive notification with
download info for their free copy of Miva Merchant.

** Miva Engine v3.2 Goes Production 24 August 1998
We're going into production with the v3.2 engine distribution next
week. Along with the name change, we're using the Htmlscript version
number for the engine since Miva is Htmlscript 3.0. The new engine
has many new features including modular program execution, memo
fields, database filtering, and many new builtin functions.
Miva Engine v3.2 is required to run Miva Merchant. Annual Upgrade
Plan members will automatically receive notification with download
information when their platform is available. Licensees that have
purchased Miva Engine in the last 60 days will receive one free
upgrade and will be notified automatically.

** Get Your Commerce Site Into The Miva Galleria
The Miva Galleria, a directory of Miva enabled commerce web sites,
goes online with our new web site on 1 September 1998. If you have
a web site that is commerce related and uses Miva technology, then
you should register it with the Miva Galleria:
