Speaking of the end, I received the following e-mail a few day ago. Maybe it will take your mind off the ho-hum tripling and quadrupling of FBNA stock.
A Warning to America. Y2K disasters and much worse to come,
soon.
This message is not to sell you anything. It is a heart-felt
warning to help you prepare for what is coming with information
that may even save your life during the next few years, although
nothing can save your lifestyle.
You may not believe a word of what to follow since it is so
foreign to our experience, but we would encourage you to read it
through, print it out, and save it where you can easily find it.
When these things begin to take place, you may want to remember
what was said so that you know what to do in the difficult times
ahead. Your survival may depend on it. People are becoming aware
of the year 2000 problem, (Y2K). These problems have already
started and we will talk about them first, but there are things
that are much worse that are going to happen in the next three
years and some of them have started as well. Ask yourself these
questions.
When the stock and bond markets crash, and they will, and your
investments or retirement funds are worth pennies on the dollar,
how will you react?
When the economy crumbles, you lose your job, and you can't pay
your debts, to whom will you turn?
When the natural disasters that are coming disrupt all kinds of
production and transportation and the grocery shelves are empty,
how will you feed your family?
When you have no electricity or heat for months or years, what
will you do?
When the government at various levels cannot even provide basic
services, who will protect your family from desperate people?
When disease and plagues sweep the country and the health care
system collapses, who will be your healer?
You may not believe that any of the above will ever happen. They
MUST happen with the year 2000 computer glitch and for some
people even before that takes place. We know the exact moment of
the day the world shuts down: 12:01 AM, January 1, 2000. If you
are not aware of what will happen, We will explain it. Briefly,
for the last 50 years, computers have been programmed with the
date specified as mm/dd/yy. The computer supplied the missing 19
in yy to read 1986 or whatever. When the clock turns over on New
Year's eve, 1999, the computer will act as if it is 1900, not
2000. While this might not seem very important, it will cause
virtually all mainframe computers, mini-computers and most PCs to
either lock up or spew out erroneous data. Obtaining virtually
everything we eat, wear, use and all transactions are dependent
on these computers. The banking and financial industries will be
hardest hit and may never recover. THIS IS ALREADY HAPPENING in
isolated cases, like where charge cards have /00 expiration
dates, or forecasting programs that go into the year 2000 cause
the computer to crash. Greenspan has said that if even one of the
main computers in the tightly coupled world-wide financial system
starts spewing out false data, the whole system will collapse
There are billions of lines of code with these date dependent
codes in there. There is no way to fix the problem in time. Not a
chance! What most people don't realize is that virtually
everything we depend on to live is now computer controlled and
will crash with the computers. The following things WILL happen.
1. Trains and planes will not be operating. Trucking will be
severely limited to emergency supplies. There will be no food in
the stores, parts for factories, propane, lumber, prescription
drugs, etc.
2. Power plants will shut down. The NRC has no choice but to
shut the nuclear plants down and the rest, which are controlled
by computers and programmable controllers will also shut down.
Even if a plant somehow manages to get back on line, the computer
controlled power grid will not carry the power very far. Even if
you have gas or oil heat, there will be no power to run the
blowers or control thermostats.
3. There will be no water for bathing, drinking or toilets.
Sewage plants will not operate.
4. Most of the oil wells, particularly the ocean rigs will shut
down. There will be no gasoline or oil available.
5. The telephone system will shut down. Some of the telephone
companies don't even know where some of the computers and
controllers are.
6. There will be no way to issue or process checks. Forget
pensions.
Even before the above events occur, other things are going to
happen because of Y2K, unless something else causes them first.
1. The stock and commodities markets will crash. The flight to
cash will also cause the mother of all bank runs, by July of next
year, if not before. Availability of cash will be extremely
limited by the government to try to keep the banks solvent,
either with the $500 availability rules or executive orders.
Whatever "money" you have still stuck in the bank or other
accounts as electronic bits in a computer will probably be lost
on Y2K day.
2. Most exchange will be by barter, whatever cash people manage
to get out, and gold and silver coins. In time paper money will
lose its value as well.
3. Stores will be stripped of all food, essentials and drugs well
before January first.
You will see signs of what is coming more and more, even this
year as well as denials from "official" sources that things won't
be nearly this bad. Do not believe them. Here are some things you
can do in the physical realm to prepare for what is coming.
Get out of the stock, bond and commodities markets, NOW. If you
can withdraw funds from your IRA, or other retirement funds, do
it. If not, but you have some control over them, get into very
short term treasury bill funds or money market funds for now.
Even if NONE of the above happened, the stock market is now a
speculative mania that has lost all touch with reality and must
crash. The Asian, and now Russian currency and economy collapse
is much worse than anyone is willing to admit and will have
devastating effects on all markets. Go to cash and gold and
silver bullion coins. Avoid collectable coins unless you are an
expert.
Store up as much non-perishable foods, essentials (remember the
Japanese toilet paper crisis?) and water. Include vitamins and
immune system building herbs and other substances. The healthcare
system will be helpless. Guns and ammunition will be essential
for self defense, especially in or near big cities. Plant a
garden next spring where you can protect the produce.
The results of Y2K are known and there is no way to avoid them.
In addition, some other events will take place that will even be
worse. Do not think it can not happen here, it will, within the
NEXT FEW YEARS. How do we know these things will happen?
God does not do anything without telling His prophets first.
(Amos 3:7)
Numerous Christian prophets from different churches and
denominations are generally predicting the same following events.
This is not some kind of occult nonsense, but committed men and
women of God with proven, accurate, prophetic ministries who have
been shown these things in dreams, visions, and prophecies they
have given under the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Specifically: a record-breaking earthquake will level Tokyo and
destroy much of Japan.
The big one will hit the West Coast and the continental plates
will actually separate. Virtually everything from Mexico to
Seattle will be destroyed. Numerous volcanic eruptions will add
to the destruction.
The New Madrid fault will let go. New Orleans and Memphis will be
under water. St. Louis will be destroyed, as will much of Chicago
even though it is supposed to be relatively safe.
Destructive storms and floods will destroy numerous cites. Others
will be destroyed by fire.
Plagues, diseases and pestilence will sweep the country.
The economy as we know it will completely collapse.
WHY?
Throughout history, when a nation that God has raised up has
turned its back on Him, turned to other gods", shed their
children's blood, and wallowed in immorality, He has brought
judgement to stop the process. That time has now come for
America.
As in ancient Israel, proven, recognized prophets are now warning
this nation about what is coming. A passage from Jeremiah 18:7-16
sounds like America today.
"Whenever I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be
taken up and destroyed, then if that nation renounces its evil
ways, I will not destroy it. And if I announce that I will make a
certain nation strong and great, but then that nation changes its
mind and turns to evil and refuses to obey me, then I too will
change my mind and not bless that nation as I had said I would.
Therefore, go and warn all Judah and Jerusalem saying: Hear the
word of the Lord. I am planning evil against you now instead of
good; turn back from your evil paths and do what is right. But
they replied, 'Don't waste your breath. We have no intention
whatever of doing what God says. We will continue to live as we
want to, free from any restraint, full of stubbornness and
wickedness! ------- They have turned away from the ancient
highways of good, and walk the muddy paths of sin. Therefore,
their land shall become desolate. -------" (LB)
America is not exempt from God's eternal principles. He cannot
destroy other nations for their rejection of Him after He has
richly blessed them, and not do so to us.
As we said earlier, when you see all these things beginning to
happen, to whom will you turn?
His name is Jesus: creator, savior, redeemer, healer, eternally
God, the incarnate Word of God who loved you more than any other
human possibly could and paid for your rebellion and disobedience
in your place with His own life. He was slain as the spotless
lamb of God to satisfy the righteous judgement of a Holy God that
would otherwise have fallen on you.
What can you do to prepare for the coming times? Storing up food,
water and other supplies might get you through a year or so if
you are not in one of the destroyed areas. Then what?
Suggestions: If you are a committed, born again, baptized,
spirit filled Christian, seek God's presence in prayer and His
word. Learn to recognize His voice (John 10:27) because following
His directions will be crucial to your survival.
If you are a nominal or cultural Christian, even church going
member, but have not actually asked Jesus to forgive you of your
sins, become savior and lord in your life, been baptized in
water, or asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Lk: 11:13,
3:16), then you should consider completing any missing items and
dedicate your life to Him. Then proceed as above.
If you have never confessed Jesus as the Son of God, and asked
Him to forgive you of your sins, be your savior and lord in your
life, then those are the first steps. Just pray to Jesus and ask
Him to do so.
If you have no idea what we are talking about, get a modern
English translation of the Bible, such as the Living Bible and
read the Gospel of John in the New Testament.
Even truly committed, faithful, praying Christians are not
promised that they will not be killed in natural calamities, but
being able to hear His voice and follow it may keep you safe in
very difficult times. What you are promised is that when you die,
you will spend eternity in God's presence, not in eternal
punishment.
God is going to bring about circumstances in the near future such
that people will have no choice but to make a choice between the
world's system (the Devil's kingdom) and God. Either you will
swear allegiance to the Lord of Glory (Jesus), or to the Devil
and accept his mark. If you accept the mark of the beast, it will
be too late. There will be no opportunity for repentance and you
will share his fate in eternal punishment.
May the Lord preserve you until you are convinced of the truth of
these words and help you to make the right choice.
We hope and pray that you will survive the coming events long
enough to realize they ALL are going to happen and that you will
have time to prepare for them.
