Computerworld the last 2 weeks has had many interesting articles similar to your post. It amazes me that users are willing to deal with the issues pointed out about NT. Maybe they aren't, but the clever and skillful MSFT P/R engine makes one believe. One user said that NT 4.0 has to reboot hundreds of times, but NT 5.0 will limit that to ~5-15--and they were pleased, even though admitting UNIX never has to. The Novell price seemed to selloff coincident with the NT 5.0 Beta 2 release. Effective delay tactic by any vendor to freeze the market by getting users to allocate resources to test the Beta. Can't believe that 300,000 users [Betas shipped] are going to allocate resources to test a product which they may not see for 1-1 1/2 years. Novell is knocking at the door --RIGHT NOW--so expect more and more defensive tactics.
