Ann-

I fail to see how expecting a president to be honest with his constituents is "destroying the office", although possibly it will destroy a presidency. The office, however, will be better off for having upheld a standard of integrity.

I am impressed that you consider yourself sufficiently insightful to impugn Kenneth Starr's motives. Whence comes this insight? Or, as I suspect, is there more prejudice than insight on your part? I'll again point out that Starr sacrificed a desired career move- Dean of the College of Law at Pepperdine- to continue his investigation of corruption in the highest office in this country.

Had Starr's critics a scintilla of fairness, they would wait for his report- which he has had to pursue in the face of concerted efforts to lie and conceal (eg. Hillary's law firm records)- before criticizing his efforts. This obfuscation is what has made his investigation so difficult, time consuming and expensive. If his report, due shortly, has no substance, than criticism may be in order.

I gather you consider pervasive lying- and possible obstruction of justice- on the part of the President of the United States to be matters of little consequence. You also seem indifferent to steadiness of character and good judgement in a president's personal life. We differ.
