No, call me crazy but I don't believe we should spend $60 million ($100 million when its all over?) if the biggest Whitewater participant we get is the governor of a podunk state. I imagine that if we went down tomorrow to Mississippi or Montana or Massachusetts or whereever and made all the governors open up their books, we'd probably be able to convict half of them for something or other.
Anyway, whatever Jim Guy Tucker did, it had nothing to do with the Clintons. And isn't that the raison d'etre for the OIC? The OIC has been going on this for more than five years now, investigating a land deal gone sour. They should have convicted the McDougals, saw whether they would finger the Clintons and then finished it. Instead, the McDougals refused to finger the Clintons, so the OIC went on to the next level of friends, indicted them, and then the next level of friends, indicted them, and so on and so on. And finally--gotcha--he catches the President lying about an extramarital relationship. HORRORS!
