Nigel, It doesn't mean that if every Tom, Dick and Harry opens up a commuity site, everyone will flock there. It's all a function of the current membership at this point. (i.e. If GCTY can maintain there current homesteaders, (especially those who brings high traffic to their site, they should do well in the future.) The only thing that Yahoo, Lycos and Excite did was confirmed that what GCTY has been doing all this time was right. Now the question is what about new membership, can GCTY entice the new comers to their site ... I think so ... Another good example of this is e-mail ... the last time I checked every site is offering e-mail services and yet YAHOO, LYCOS and EXCITE cannot entice all the Hotmail and JUNO mail users from moving to their site .... as you very know it's a lot easier to move your mailbox than to move your website ... JMHO
