Likely predators. Let us see. The two guys in charge, Cooper and Parkinson, are primarily from the aviation and military industry. So, chances are thay would look for companies with their speciality. The usual suspects - Honeywell, Rockwell, and Allied Signal. Can fit in with all three very well. Avionics division of Trimble will be a good match.

Allied Signal is a major force in the car parts industry. So car navigation will be another synergestic market.

Other players

Lockheed Martin. Big in military, aviation, and intelligent transporation markets.

Qualcomm. Big in vehicle tracking market. Also, CDMA uses GPS timing.

Caterpillar - Serves the construction and agricultural markets.

Price. Who knows? But 2 times sales is about $24. How many times sales was the price paid by Orbital for Ashtech (sales of about $45 million)?
