Ye Gads, taping your friends, making private conversations public and then a prosecutor using the tapes and notes as evidence. Did we criticize the person who taped Rodney King? I don't believe any one of us would be at all comfortable if someone we considered our friend was repeatedly pushing us to lie to a Grand Jury, especially if our friend just happened to be a "close, personal" friend of the Prez or the 1st Lady. Those folks are, let me put this politely, single-minded in pursuing their goals. (A few of their political operatives could confirm that statement.) Remember OJ? Seemed like only a tape of the act could have convicted him. We have all learned that the only way we can prove what we say, and protect ourselves and our family from potential harm, is to have it on tape. Sad, but true.
