Carson makes hair-care and beauty products for consumers of African descent. The company sells more than 70 products -- including hair relaxers and texturizers, hair color, shaving, and hair-maintenance products -- to customers in more than 60 countries. Carson also owns the Cutex nail-care line but plans to sell it and focus on ethnic products. Growth is expected from sales efforts in Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean.
