Matthew:

Just my opinion, but I am very bullish on small-caps. What we are seeing here over the past month is a secular rotation out of the mid-to-large caps into the small caps. The Russell 2000 recently broke its 200 dy moving average on the upside (prior to the recent correction).

Given the favorable economic, technical environment, and the academic findings which point to an anamolous advantage to small cap securities on a risk-adjusted basis over many periods of analysis, I see the small "gems" out there, (like ARSW) having a banner year in '97.
