What is occurring is that after I connect to my ISP (ATT Worldnet) and try to download QP2 is dialing again. I checked the box saying not to dial and now I merely get a not saying cannot connect to www.qp2.
I must be missing something here. Are you using the Internet Downloader (QPnet.exe)? That wouldn't dial again. If you're not using the Internet Downloader, but downloading via the 800 number, why are you connecting to your ISP first? That just ties up the phone line so that the direct-dial downloader (Auto Update) can't get through.
Try clicking on the Internet Downloader when you're on line. Go to Start, Programs, Quotes Plus 2 and then Internet Downloader. When you're not on line, go to Start, Programs, Quotes Plus 2, and then Auto Update. Auto Update is the direct dial. You can't be on line when you use it.
But you knew this, I'm sure, and I'm completely missing the point. You did say you called QP, and if it were as obvious as what I've just said, they would have solved the problem.
