"It will be hard for Intel to maintain its current level of PC
processor revenues in the years ahead. Our estimate is that PC processor
revenues will decline more," Kurlak said. Furthermore, he said it is
possible for PC prices to someday drop to $200, indicating that an Intel
processor in such a machine could cost about $30. Kurlak also cast doubt
that Intel's moves into the higher echelons of computing would offset
declining PC prices.
