I believe mid-high end PBs will be in better supply by month end. Certainly soon enough to impact quarterly earnings.

IMO, desktops are moving as well, if not better, than before the iMac debut. Tekserve's getting good supply of the newer models. Of interest is a 300mhz desktop with built in DVD (instead of Zip) for $2,000 .

604e desktops are a fond memory, as are non-PPC Powerbooks -- except for the 2400c.

Am moving a fair number of iMacs to Parents sending kids off to college; long-time MacUsers upgrading 5+ year old machines; and first-time buyers. They basically come in already wanting one. For newbies, floppy, printer and peripheral situation are problems they can live with until they come up to speed. Easy money.

Funny. About a year ago this time, almost every serious sale included a discussion about Apple's survival as a corporate entity. Now, I can't remember having that conversation in months.
