I did think the article was interesting and apparently timely given recent events here. Forewarned is forearmed and that goes for anyone.
It is hard to counter some of the statements in that article as to ulterior motives. But in defense of those individuals such as ourselves, that really are here to help as best as we can, I would like to say that altruistic people do exist.
People volunteer their services (hospitals, retirment homes, Peace Corps, Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts)
People donate time, money, services after natural disasters half way around the world.
Mother Theresa spent her life administering to the weak, sick, and unwanted members of society.
Not everyone is looking to put their hand in the your back pocket.
