You know, you're right. Family values, ickky! How DARE our government suggest to us ways in which to lead happier, healthier, and safer lives.

We should have a government which encourages dead-beat dads, get-em-pregnant-and-leave-'em boyfriends. The government should praise the ideal of the single-parent household, too. Everyone knows that kids don't want or need two parents. One parent is burdensome enough for a child.

Michelle, you evidently haven't listened to Clinton's "State of the Union" speaches. As I recall the last few of them have been pretty heavy on "family values". *gasp*

I wish the government would just shut up about family values and keep giving out the welfare checks to those in need: like those who've been abused by drug-using spouses. And yes, keep those monthly checks coming to those single parents who's spouses just decided that family life was too constricting, and so they simply moved on and got a new life in a different town: "Would like to see the kids more but can't stand to hear the old spouse go on about "responsibility"." And then to top it off the government gets into the act and idiotic politicians start saying the same things. Sometimes the goverment can be so annoying.
