When currencies option come to expiration, they decrease in volatility. Which usually means that the US dollar backs down against the YEN..etc. And often you see the pundits come out of the woods and post that the Dollar has maybe changed. But first thing Frday morning {I'm not up on futures, but believe it's a new issue at open} the currencies start to rebuild their trends.

As far as currencies go, I'm most concerened with the MARK. I worried that the mark may break it's trend with Gold... that could be bad.
pacific.commerce.ubc.ca {plot mark /versus Gold base} for 1996-1998 If it falls below the 500 mark, than a raise may be forced {even though they have no intention to do so yet} forcing a recession in Germany.
