Prophet:

I would give absolutely no quarter to any terrorist, but consider this... The World Trade Center bombings took place in our backyard and the government was able to throw enormous resources at the subsequent investigation. It nevertheless took almost two years to find the alleged perpetrators and I believe the judicial process is still ongoing.

Now we have a bombing, halfway around the world in a small African country, and magically the FBI/CIA can specifically identify the terrorist group involved, right down to their weapons factory, in what..two weeks. Uh huh. Right in the middle of a presidential scandal. Uh huh.

Terrorists hate the west for many reasons not limited to religion, politics or a profligate culture. Do not get me wrong, I think terrorism is an atrocity and its propagators should be punished (bombing is just fine with me). But darn it, before we start executing people...because that is what we are talking about here...capital punishment...summary execution...we better be sure that these are the people that committed the crime. Otherwise, you just end up stoking the fires of terrorist hatred...and making the world, and our country, less rather than more, safe.

Just my humble opinion.

Gregg
