Hi Pat:

Sounds like here we go again........

I just read an update in Briefing.com about the week (and year) ahead. They're not too optimistic, shall we say? Since I'm still relatively new to individual stocks, I wonder how the expected 7%-9% EPS growth in FY97 for the S&P index will reflect on those stocks that will turn in earnings growth significantly higher than that. We don't own 500 stocks, so why should I be scared due to the average expected EPS growth of those 500 stocks?

Is the risk that all the new "average" investors who are hog-wild about this and last year's S&P return will cash out of mutual funds when/if they realize they may not make over 20% in 97?

Paul
