<<How DARE our government suggest to us ways in which to lead happier, healthier, and safer lives>>

I realize you were being sarcastic, but I must ask....what is the legal basis for the Federal government getting involved in any way with our happiness or health? Safety......maybe. The government should not encourage bad behavior, but I don't see where they have any business commenting on it at all.

Okay, the President and Congress have bully pulpits, and they can always get up there and tell us what they think we should do - good moral leadership and all that - but pass laws regarding that behavior? I don't think so. Leave that to the state and local governments, and the communities and families.
