Nothing amazes me anymore with whatever the MMs do with DGIV b/a. It's interesting that when Mr. D yesterday said he was ready to buy 50k at 2.50, "El Pajarito" accused him of price manipulation. I suppose MMs can do whatever they want with the price and it is fundamentals, but if we buy or sell that is manipulation. Oh well, consider the source :-)
My prediction is that we will see another day like yesterday, with a lot of posturing from MMs, and this afternoon the volume might pick up a whole lot, which will see some scrambling around to cover. JMHO.
Being long, I really don't care what they do on a day to day basis. I remain waiting for financials, for filings, etc. In the meantime, I continue making calls and checking things out. Yesterday I confirmed the DGIV/Oracle/Synergistic relationship. This morning I did a bit of research on the Nortel DSM-250 switch that will be used at Digitcom's LA termination point. It supports a wide range of services, from voice to video and multimedia. Furthermore, it contains an integral maintenance and billing subsystem, so it keeps records of calls and interfaces with bill-processing systems. I assume the Nortel switch will interface with the Sun Solaris workstation hosting the Oracle data base, to provide an end-to-end system of call termination and switching, billing, and record keeping. Pretty sophisticated stuff.
Gee, it is a lot more productive and rewarding to spend time researching DGIV's contracts and the technology instead of worrying about what MMs are doing to the price. |
