Yes, I conceded already that Starr will file a report by law to the 3-judge panel on Whitewater. But do you really think anything is going to come of it? I have to believe that two years from now, or whenever Starr is finished, there's going to be so little interest in Whitewater that even a GOP Congress could not get up the steam to do anything about it. Remember, the Senate Banking Committee already had a year of hearings about it and had to close up shop because the public had so little interest in it and Chairman Al D'Amato's approval ratings were sinking into the teens. I think we have to conclude that Starr has given up on Whitewater and the rest is pro forma. There'll be 2-3 days of news stories when the report is released, and that's it. Worth $60 million, still?
