Chuzz and ALL- RE:DELL'S TREATMENT OF ITS SUPPLIERS:
I was talking with a friend in the industry who uses the same suppliers as Dell...he was telling me that Dell really mistreats its suppliers in the sense that it expects them to keep 30 days of inventory available for their purchase, but it doesn't pay them for 60 days, thereby providing Dell with a nice financial float at the expense of their suppliers...

...he said he wouldn't invest in Dell simply because of this "arrogance"...and that sooner or later the suppliers wouldn't stand for it and would rather do business with Compaq...anyway because they are treated more as partners...

I would like help from you, Chuzz, and others more knowledgeable than myself, in constructing a response in defense of Dell...

...I can't imagine the above being true, but I am ignorant so I appreciate your filling in the blanks...thanks, GR

P.S. Mkt and Dell look to have finally bounced off of a bottom for the day (I hope).
