Hi, Paul. The 1.8B is over a 3 year period, and I believe that McD's will pay less than they currently do. Also, it is my understanding that the actual manufacturing cost, per container, will be approx. 9% less than the cost of McD's current container.

Additionally, as I understand it, Sweetheart is already a manufacturer of McD's containers, and the reason they have agreed to manufacture ERTH's containers is simply that they really have no choice -- it's better for them to join the ERTH team than to have to compete with ERTH. Also, they probably have determined that the ERTH products will result in additional market share for them -- and, as the world grows in population, the market also grows.
