Then it follows that you are admitting that the real issue with Thomas and Packwood was politics as well, as if that weren't obvious at the time. It is pleasing to me to see those who screamed the loudest in the past so convincingly demonstrate their hypocrisy in the present. The best thing to come out of all this is that the left has forfeited their pretense of ethical highground. Does anyone seriously believe that the left wouldn't find a way to condemn this behavior if it were a Republican President? They would find all the venom and hatred that surfaced in the past and they would be demanding his resignation. Because it is their man now and they find the most creative excuses, they prove the left is just as political and unethical as those whom they so selfrighteously condemned. The left has lost their virginity. Welcome to the real world. EP
