Looks like CBS' short interest didn't change that much (end 8/14). And 8/14....oh how I recall that date ! That was last Fri (I think ?) when 'she' tank to intra-low of $26 15/17th and closed that miserable day at $28 1/2. Now here we are exactly one week later and 'she' hits intra low for today in low $27 area and yet could perhaps again pull up and close near that $28 1/2 mark ?????

Now what has me curious is why 'her' short interest remained almost static while 'her' stock price dropped during that same period from high $34ish area to our maybe $28 1/2 ???? On the other hand at least CBS isn't on the top of the list for shorts; Disney holds that spot with I think 70mill (ish) shares short versus CBS' 17mill (ish).

Oh.....talk about volume...today two 1mill share trades (or close to 1mill each ?) and maybe one 500k trade. I gotta wonder if they were 'buys' or 'sells' and who could they be ? Funds ???? CBS ?

John. I know you don't like call options but the CBS Oct30 is active today.

John: what do you make of SONY and MGM ? Either one of them interesting as far as CBS goes ? Of the two I like SONY.

Any thoughts ?
