Hello! Jack, Well! I took your advise and tried to forget about the stock market while I was in Toronto! Easier said then done! My 82 year old Dad had the T.V. Stock Channel on just about 24 hours a day! We rehashed all the potential positives surrounding NYRR that we have heard via the rumor mill over the past 1 1/2 years... We both agreed that it wouldn't surprise any of us if some of the faithful NYRR Shareholders would have become disillusioned and gone elsewhere with their investment dollars....JMO! Seeing what's been happening with the overall markets lately it does not appear that many long shareholders would be happy! On the positive side for those that believe that we are currently presented with a buying opportunity ( for many stock issues) then we have many good things to look forward to! ( Assuming that our dreams come true!---I did say Dreams --Not Nightmares!) With all the speculation surrounding NYRR over the past 1 1/2 years which included the Conrail Lawsuit scenario, Big Rail mergers/buyouts, etc,----in my opinion I have felt that the upcoming September to December 1998 time frame may be a critical point in time for NYRR , it's management and it's shareholders. As I sit here scratching my forehead as to why I did not divest of part of my NYRR Investment when it was trading in the .48 cent range a few months ago---I try to justify to myself that in my opinion we have not seen the best share price days from NYRR--but am hoping/speculating/betting that those days will come to those of us that are waiting patiently ( or otherwise!)....... If any company representatives are following this thread you are invited to join in the dynamics of this thread--as I feel we have several streetwise and astute investors that are awaiting some news/information updates surrounding their investment in NYRR--or looking for some signals to invest further in this railroad!
