They could be close to a large aquisition. ( We've all heard that before)

Well I sure hope they are. Hummingbird is in the same boat as Geac lots of cash on hand and waiting for that big fish but the share price keeps on going lower and lower.
Hum just announced a share repurchase plan to try and stop the slide.

Saddler's name is missing on the new list of directors

Do you think this is a sign Saddler is moving on? Maybe Geac should do a share repurchase plan but don't buy any back to help stop the slide if Saddler is really moving on or do you think the street has already taken into account that Saddler is moving on with Geacs present price?

Now on the plus side I noticed that the CFO didn't exercise any of his options in the annual report. :-)

The annual report looks good.
It shows there is a lot of opportunities for Y2K and customer support but the street sure isn't buying it.
Geac is on the money when they say that IT people will be in short supply so the customer support plan should pay off especially when the Y2K approaches.
