HJ:

FWIW I am bearish on the overall markets, believing them to be overvalued by 20 to 30%. I admit to being clueless about what AMZN will do during this time. In my opinion, it has shown surprising strength, relative even to other large cap name-brand internet stocks.

In order to keep its generous market cap, AMZN must do everything right. I am sincerely impressed that BarnesandNoble.com produced a miserable performance in Q2. They lost most money than AMZN that quarter in their online bookstore, advertised heavily, and raked in a paltry $12M in sales. Also CDNW is going down the toilet. So far, competitors have yet to make a dent in AMZN's growth into a multibillion dollar etailer.

I remain a long-term bull. I doubt AMZN will ever see my sell target (1/2 the record high). The amazon story remains intact.

Best Regards,
Tom D
