<<There's no future for Vivus as we know it.>>

Who is "we" brad? Is it brad and mike or are there more of you out there?

IMO there is some validity to that statement that if Vivus continues to operate as it has over the past 9 months then the future is questionable at best unless they are able to preserve their cash.

IMO Wilson knows that there is too much at risk at this point and he knows that there are too many uncertainties for him not to either sign up a partner (even if on terms less than he would desire) or sell the company (even for less than he thinks it is worth).

Wilson still owns about 1/2 million shares and the chairman still owns over 1 million shares. I think these guys have screwed up badly but nobody can be that stupid.
