David try this:

equis.com

type .CRB (has to have a period in front)

and select monthly from the slider on the bottom right.

My interpretation:

peak 4/96 wave 1 down begins.

5/97 wave 3 down begins, I can see a five wave move into the current lows on the monthly chart, on the daily chart I'm not sure of the exact bottom.

Here is the deflationery question.

Is this an ABC bottom (we are sitting on the 93 lows) or is the next move up in commodities a wave 4 countertrend before an ugly fifth wave correction?

>>>What commodity do you like on the long side?<<<<

I've become a goldbug since 12/97. My bias (and the historical bias) is on deflation. Most are unaware that gold is a better deflationery hedge than inflationery hedge.

>>>wave 5 ending 8/12/98<<< There are a lot of bullish divergences in the XAU on the weekly MACD, RSI, and Money flow basis the Jan lows.

Do you think on the SPX we could be having an ABC wave 4 with an ABC within each letter? An extended indecision pattern that could take us into early/mid September?
