If the price is too low, CIEN can refuse to sell and wait for a white knight (NT perhaps). TLAB wants CIEN's technology for the long term. So far, CIEN has better technology than LU. TLAB's SONET/SDH will be just like today's PDH in no time, what will TLAB do then? ATM doesn't always have to go through SONET framing.

My bet: merger goes through as before or at a 20% discount max.
