jb - This is war just like any other war except that the weapons aren't dfamiliar and the soldiers don't look like a conventional army. The definition is quite clear and given in Clausewitz and hasn't changed since he wrote it. The consequences of either pursuing it as a war or not pursuing it are also derived from the same work. Not a happy prospect but then war is the most unpleasant experience society can experience. Still if the definitions given in Clausewitz fit then we are at war and all the consequences thereof follow. Regards, L
