I can tell you what I'm doing though it hasn't done me much good this month so far. I still have long positions in Australian stocks and an international share fund. I have put options on National Australia Bank and the Australian All Ords Index and a short position on DELL. I also have Australian and US cash about 13% of my gross portfolio in each ( I also have about 25% in a defined benefit superannuation fund which just grows automatically and I can't control at all).

My main concerns are coming out of this with my capital intact more than making money. On the other hand I want to minimize my capital gains tax bill (43-47% rate - don't sell all my longs just yet). I am also trying to play the currencies - got that about half right - I didn't sell all my US dollars yet! - remember I am in fringe of the Asia-Pacific meltdown.
