Rodster, I honestly think that USTI's Microsoft approved software systems for city government integrated use is a valuable commodity.
Once one examines the vast selection of powerful software that this little company makes, the idea that they could suddenly be gobbled up cannot help but come to mind.

There is not much competition in the city government software market. I can't think of another that makes software for keeping track of warrants or property tax or city planning that is also Y2K compliant.
The biggest problem I see with USTI is that there is no way with their current distribution means that they can get their software seen by a majority of their market without the help of a VERY big name.

Unisys would be good. Microsoft could get the job done. USTI by itself? They would be lucky to be reviewed by 1/3 of applicable cities in Texas alone before end of 99 comes at current rate.

They only sold 26 new cities last quarter. While that brings in nice revenues and it is an increase over 19 new cities the prior 3 months, it is not a traceable market share.

So we watch and we wait and occassionally we get a nibble and sometimes we just lose our bait.
