Hi, John, thot you'd want to learn of this: as of today, the Empire Electrical District-SW Missouri- reported today that they have plans in place now to only turn on electricity 2 hours per day per household, for the first 2 wks of Year 2000, until such time as they can determine whether it is safe to re-load the rods into the nuclear reactor.

Now THAT ought to keep the meat from spoiling in our collective freezers, eh? And how about milk & butter? Maybe living in a snow zone ain't gonna be so bad afterall...hmmmm

Do you live in a nuclear supplied electrical grid?
Fortunately out here, most of ours is hydro-electric...didn't know that when I moved out her 11 years ago last month, but am damn grateful now!!!

Take care. I still admire your dedication to this and similar ilk threads! God bless.
