TV/COM serves DVB TV/COM International has released its DVB Data Server which directly supports program providers seeking to add value to their consumer video service or private network by adding data services such as news, weather, sports, financial and Internet content. It accepts data input from a variety of sources, packages them in DVB format with appropriate programme information, and delivers a DVB ASI (Asynchronous Serial Interface) transport stream that is multiplexed with other DVB/MPEG-2 services to be delivered to a consumer set top box or PC. The DVB Data Server is suitable for a number of applications including EPG generation and distribution, remote code downloads, playout scheduling, PSI/SI generation and DVB data formatting. With an aggregate output rate of 20 Mbps, these data applications can run simultaneously. TV/COM International
Sony Flexsys openness Sony has added the MAV-70 selectable bit rate video server to its family of FlexSys automation and transmission products. Based on the MPEG-2 compression standard, the MAV-70 provides multi-channel SDTV and HDTV operation. Fully implemented, the MAV-70 server will feature selectable MPEG-2 compression Profiles/Levels (4:2:2P@HL, 4:2:2P@ML, MP@HL and MP@ML) and bit rates (1.5Mbps to 50Mbps) with capability of up to 10 Inputs/Outputs.
