IBM encoders................... tvbeurope.com SeaChange Cluster SeaChange International's Broadcast MediaCluster is the firm's latest video server designed for play-to-air applications. The system combines MediaCluster architecture with MPEG-2 4:2:2 video compatibility and interfaces to tape archive systems, officials said. In addition SeaChange software provides an interface across the cluster for automation system control. It currently supports the Louth Video Disk Protocol and OmniBus Systems' broadcast network operation system. Future implementations will support additional third-party protocols and provide native application programming interfaces access, officials added. The Broadcast MediaCluster can scale from a single server to multi-node clusters with dozens of inputs and outputs, terabytes of storage and interfaces to tape library archives. SeaChange
