I've just started following CIEN seeing that they have some DWDM equipment that can greatly increase bandwidth. But I'm concerned that this drop isn't just a "hiccup" and there has to be something fundamentally wrong with the product or else why would AT&T announce they've stopped evaluation, as well as the news that said WorldCom stopped using it and that Sprint will look for other vendors in the future too. This doesn't sound like it will have a rosy ending. I doubt very seriously that the Tellabs buyout will happen if there is something with the product. I've seen these drops happen big, yes CD, and then go on to get much worse. I wouldn't react by purchasing at these levels. Something has to fundamentally change to prove that they're going to be doing good business in the future.
