Gary, I am not qualified to explain UDMA form a technical perspective. Suffice it to say that it is a competing standard (to SCSI) that is taking share away from ADPT in the low-cost desktop PC market. UDMA is incorporated on the motherboard and so does not require an add-on card ala ADPT. Hmmmm why not incorporate SCSI onto the motherboard.........INTC? Regards, Larry
