Thanks for the info. Yes, I have seen the behavior of abandonment from many companies, and actually expected it from the Viper, as the prices were slashed greatly in recent months, and I expected a new version was about to come out. Sure enough, they announced the new Viper with the NEW version of the RIVA 128 chipset last week.
However, having the first card a while, I've seen them continually post updated drivers to their website at the rate of about one every two months. That's not bad. However, their one and only NT driver was posted in 10/97, and called a "pre-release" driver. They've never posted another one, and their tech support says they are still working on it. HA!
You could be brave and try Nvidia's OEM Drive or STB's.I know many folks with this card but none with multimonitor setups.
No, its an excellent card. It was the frist card on the market to truly surpass matrox for 2-d performance and make a run at 3dfx in 3d performance all on the same card. Quite an accomplishment. I have had good luck with them and ordered the STB variant in 7 client workstations last night as a matter of fact. and actually the 3D gaming performance is better than most other cards except vodoo, g200, and the newer ATI's as far as personal cards. Note: The Viper mentioned earlier is the original viper using weitek chipset not the viper v330.
How Hard was it to get Multimon support in NT with this. I have a friend who might be interested in trying this.
