That is what ASND sells, they are ahead of CSCO in both time to market and technology. Why are you talking about crap that will be available in one year, by that time ASND would have installed their CORE switches in majority of ISP and TELCO backbone. They have not even installed their so called core switches. Talk about something that works and is being shipped and installed. Look at GTE, they have chosen and are deploying, ASND CORE and multiservice switches over CSCO, because they are not even available. They are available only in PRESS RELEASES.

If you are long CSCO, say so. You don't have to act like a cat on the wall.

I am long both ASND and CSCO. But I like CSCO mainly for their enterprise focus and dominance in LAN switching and routing, not for their CARRIER business, They have a lot work to do in the Carrier market. Unfortunately market labels them as leader in everything and ignores others only to realize later that there are other upcoming stars worth paying attention to, ASND is one of them.
