Gabor, >I belive the smartest thing ole Billy could do is talk Gore into resigning together.<
Gore, will not resign with Clinton, IMO. He would not want NEWT to be President. IMO, he would appoint a VP. Would it be Gephart, hope not--to liberal. Kerry would be a good VP, but the Republicans probably would not want a decorated Vietnam Vet as President who is, IMO, considered a moderate.
The Republicans want the Presidency back. The Demo's want Congress back and, IMO, both parties believe the ends justifies the means. IMO, the future political races will be more of the past confrontations and detective work scrutinizing each other in detail looking for dirt. IMO, voters vote against candidates rather than for candidates and out of emotion rather than out of fact. Anyone want to run for political office?<g> How will the various Presidential candidates and Congress impact the markets and AMAT specifically, if in any way? What would Rubin do? What would Greenspan do? Thus, we have tremendous uncertainty for the market!
Just my opinions.
