Well, since it's Saturday off-topic posts are probably more appropriate than on-topic ones. I thought I had heard somewhere that Sassafras root gives off some sort of deadly poison--arsenic or something--in addition to that lovely root-beer taste, which is why the FDA banned it. We used to make Sassafras tea when I was a boy (in Virginia--you can't find Sassafras out West here) which may partly explain a few if my quirks. By the way, DD, another thing you can't find here in the Great Basin is any Vermont microbrew, so I'll have to ask my wife to bring me back some Otter Creek next time she has to travel back East. Just to set the record straight, though, we DO have a few of our own local microbrews, and damn fine ones, at that!!
