Thanks for the link to you former post. That was a nice clip from Andy Grove. I did indeed look up "inflection point" in the dictionary this morning to refresh my memory. I think Andy Grove was speaking organizationally whereas Bob is referring, I think to the markets. I don't know what this implies. I'm assuming the result could be good and that it involves many variables.

Are you aware of Harry Dent? He's the guy who wrote the current bestseller, "The Roaring 2000's", in which he predicts a continued and sustained US stock market until at least 2007 or so. He was also featured in Barron's a month or so ago. Of course I take these comments very cautiously for reasons all on this thread know very well. But Dent has been saying for at least 8-10 months (also in his book) that he believes something significant will change in the market as a whole in the second half of 1998--that it will be positive and that investors should get fully invested before it happens.

Of course I'll take Bob's word over anyone when it comes to these matters. Could you elaborate on what Bob thinks about the inflection point?
